Yien Li Yap is a trained chef and an advocate against food waste. She discovered the sustainable development goals first through activism in college, and has consistently worked towards them in her career with NGOs, the public service, and now in a tech start-up using Artificial Intelligence to reduce food waste in commercial kitchens. Her experience in Michelin-starred kitchens as well as food manufacturers fuelled her desire to educate people about food waste.
