“No matter what we imagine about the future, we cannot deny the inevitability of death, be it our own, or that of the close ones around us. What is the changing landscape of death and grief for us? How do we talk about, or prepare for it?”

Yen Phang grew up surrounded by plants and animals and was influenced by his geneticist and agriculturalist parents. Naturally, Yen developed an interest in investigating the gaps in the relationships between our bodies, nature and the biological. His practice straddles painting, installation and performance. His current projects dwell upon household bathroom materials.
